Job Description

Duties

As a Data Scientist (Visualization), you will:

  • The incumbent shall be a Power Business Intelligence (BI) specialist playing a critical role in designing and developing effective data visualizations using Power Business Intelligence (BI).
  • The incumbent will provide analytical support by helping to identify the appropriate data, methodological approaches, and designs for projects to identify fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • The incumbent is responsible for developing, scheduling, executing, and managing (monitoring) data pipelines using Azure Synapse to perform ELT/ETL processes.
  • Take a leading role in the development of the data governance documentation and processes covering data, strategy and visualizations.

This position has a Basic Requirement/Positive Education requirement.


You must have a degree inMathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position

Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.



SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  • Creating and implementing data collection and analysis tools while utilizing computer programming language.
  • Utilizing software applications and software languages such as (PowerBI, DAX, and other data analytics tool) s to generate reports or data visualizations that convey data to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to review specialized data and recommend solutions.
